Housing
Housing utilizes Job Order Contracting for demolition as well as construction. The Housing Authority of Baltimore City has used Job Order Contracting since 1994 with the focus on modernization and rehabilitation projects. Over 50% of work subcontracted was performed by minority and woman owned businesses.
Housing Authorities have to try to get a lot done with limited resources. Roof replacements, ADA retrofits and overall modernization are just some of the tasks that our housing clients must perform. Additionally, they must complete the work in difficult environments while trying to provide housing to those in need.
Gordian JOC solutions allow our housing clients to continually deliver high quality work while controlling their costs. Maximizing the amount of return that they get for each dollar spent is one of the major benefits housing authorities realize by using Gordian JOC. Also, JOC allows them to focus on local and minority owned businesses, so that the work that they complete not only improves the conditions in their facilities but also helps to put money back into the local economy and grow businesses that might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in the process.
Housing Authorities currently using Gordian JOC solutions include:
- Housing Authority of Baltimore City
- Housing Authority of the City of Tampa
- District of Columbia Housing Authority
