Federal
Federal need sparked the invention of Job Order Contracting in 1981. Since then Job Order Contracting has been developed and implemented for the United States Army, Air Force and the Navy. We continue to provide services for many Air Force and Army bases worldwide. Additionally, we have served the United States Postal Service (USPS) since 2002. The Gordian Group won a prestigious 2010 USPS Supplier Performance Award in the Supplier Excellence Award Category for their work on the USPS Job Order Contracting program.
When our founder invented Job Order Contracting, it was in service of the federal government at NATO. Over the course of the next five years, Job Order Contracting was implemented across the armed forces to help them deal with the massive volume of repair and maintenance needs on their docket.
Federal clients typically cover large geographical areas and therefore have widely varied facility needs depending on the location and function of the facility in question. How to manage all those needs efficiently from one point of contact? Organizations like the United States Postal Service (USPS) have turned to Gordian to do just that. Each region and each installation within USPS has its own set of needs and priorities. Our solutions allow them to manage those needs and priorities while still maintaining quality and institution-wide standards for process and quality.
