Harry H. Mellon, Chairman Chairman and Founder of The Gordian Group, Mr. Mellon is responsible for providing programmatic and technical expertise for developing and implementing JOC programs. Mr. Mellon invented the family of contracting systems known as JOC in 1981 while serving as Chief Engineer, Army Corps of Engineers for NATO operations in Europe. After retiring from the Army Corps of Engineers, Mr. Mellon realized that any organization would benefit greatly from the advantages of JOC. In 1990, he started The Gordian Group for the sole purpose of providing the consulting services, software and documents necessary to develop, implement, and support JOC programs. Prior to starting The Gordian Group, Mr. Mellon served as a Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Federal Services Division at CRSS, Inc. At CRSS he was responsible for a full service architectural/engineering design division consisting of two regional offices. Mr. Mellon served as the Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager for numerous Federal, State and City projects ranging in value from $55 million to $130 million. William L. Pollak, CEO Mr. Pollak joined The Gordian Group as Chief Executive Officer in 2012. He is responsible for the ongoing development of Job Order Contracting systems, as well as the expansion into data publishing. With an extensive background in the media and information industry, Mr. Pollak has a record of guiding transformation and creating value in the businesses he has led. Most recently, he held the role of president and CEO of ALM Media, LLC for 14 years since the company's formation. There, Mr. Pollak led the company through its transformation from a traditional, print-based publisher into a digital provider of paid news, business information and workflow tools. Prior to that, he spent 16 years at The New York Times Company, where he led the newspaper's circulation and advertising departments. Mr. Pollak serves on the boards of MultiView, Inc., publisher of digital advertising directories for associations, and iCopyright, a provider of content monetization services to publishers and bloggers. Mr. Pollak is a graduate of Harvard College and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. |

Robert D. Coffey, President President of The Gordian Group, Mr. Coffey co-founded The Gordian Group with Mr. Mellon in 1990 to develop and implement JOC programs for public owners throughout the United States. Mr. Coffey is responsible for day to day operations and performance of the company.

Roy E. Kemper, VP, Finance Mr. Kemper, a licensed Certified Public Accountant, joined The Gordian Group in September 2011 and is responsible for the Company’s accounting, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, tax, risk management and human resource functions. Mr. Kemper employs his extensive experience in both public and private accounting to tackle a wide range of accounting, financial reporting, forecasting and business activities in his position. Prior to joining The Gordian Group, Mr. Kemper spent 10 years at BI-LO, LLC, progressing from Senior Analyst to Senior Manager of Financial Reporting, where he spent his last six years. In that role, he was responsible for all internal and external reporting as well as all facets of general accounting. Prior to BI-LO, Mr. Kemper spent four years as an auditor with Deloitte & Touche. The skill set he brings to Gordian includes a vast understanding of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and financial analysis. David L. Mahler, VP, Contracts Mr. Mahler joined The Gordian Group in 1998 and leads the company’s contracting and proposal activities. His responsibilities encompass the key functions of pricing the Company’s products and services, coordinating and preparing responses to requests for proposals, and negotiating the terms and conditions of client contracts. A business management and contracts veteran, Mr. Mahler lends his decades of experience and undergraduate business studies at the University of Pittsburgh to overseeing these critical functions.
Scott M. Smith, VP, Sales Mr. Smith leads The Gordian Group’s business development organization. In his role, he is primarily responsible for revenue growth and market penetration of The Gordian Group’s full suite of solutions. Mr. Smith has nearly 20 years of industry experience with enterprise software and information services companies in sales leadership and executive management positions, including serving as the president and general manager of a multinational firm delivering business information services. Additional industry experience includes management positions with Software AG, Parametric Technology Corporation and The Kendall Company, a subsidiary of Tyco International. Prior to his joining industry, Mr. Smith was on active duty service with the United States Navy. He is a combat-decorated Naval Aviator. Mr. Smith holds Bachelor degrees in Economics and English from Duke University and a Master of Business Administration from Old Dominion University.
Marty Hanahan, Director, Marketing
Ms. Hanahan joined Gordian in 2008 with over 25 years of experience in marketing and relationship management in various industries. Ms. Hanahan provides strategic and tactical leadership of Gordian’s Marketing activities. She is responsible for providing the thought leadership and communication support to develop new and expanded business relationships. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hanahan held varied sales, marketing and customer service leadership positions for Banc One (now Chase), Proctor & Gamble and others. She has served as marketing consultant, guest lecturer in direct marketing forums, and Adjunct Marketing Professor. She holds a BBA in Marketing and an MBA from Kent State University. Jeffery O. James, Director, Information Technology
Ammon T. Lesher, Corporate Counsel Mr. Lesher joined The Gordian Group as Corporate Counsel in 2013. His primary responsibilities include overseeing the preparation of responses to requests for proposals, the preparation and negotiation of client contracts, maintaining the company’s registrations and authorizations, and providing guidance on various legal issues. Mr. Lesher has extensive experience handling corporate matters involving contracts, sales, intellectual property, employment issues and regulatory compliance, which he routinely employs to minimize the company’s exposure and protect its most valuable assets. Prior to joining The Gordian Group, Mr. Lesher worked for several leading law firms in Greenville, SC, managing both transactional and litigation matters for corporate clients. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, as well as B.S. and M.S. degrees from the College of Charleston. J. Michael West, Director, Construction Data
