The City of Miami Beach won the prestigious Robin J. Zee
Presidential Citation for Excellence and Outstanding Achievement for adopting
The Gordian Group’s Job Order Contracting System for Construction and
Maintenance Projects.
The award, also referred to as the “Best of the Best,” was
presented to Gus Lopez, Director of Procurement, at the 60th Annual
Forum of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP).
NIGP is a national, membership-based non-profit
organization. Organized in 1944, it is an international educational and
technical organization of public purchasing agencies. NIGP boasts over 70
affiliate chapters and more than 2,100 agency members representing the top
levels of federal, state, provincial and local government officials throughout
the United States and Canada.
